Question: Are there any celestial objects in space that are both Stars and Planets?

( Back )

Answer #1:

Who knows, we've only seen a microscopic part of the universe, but as far as we have labelled celestial bodies, no.

Answer #2:

there's no such thing that is half star and half planet. The mass of a star surpasses any planet. Also if a celestial object were to undergo nuclear fusion, the intense heat created from it will be too much to maintain a terrain. So no such thing exists.

Answer #3:

No. Every star that fuses hydrogen in its core is a Main Sequence star without a solid surface.

Answer #4:

ok first of all dont listen to dane bing because he dont know what he is talking about and second we dont know.our sunmight be like that.we never saw its core.and there is life that might be able to live there.the life your looking for is archea.they can live in intense heat place life on the sides of volcanoes or in hot springs and even in the middle of the earth mabey.so life most likely could live there and just think.off of ben 10 heat blast could live there.mabey his species does.they would have to fly all the time because the surface of the star isn't solid but the core might be.:)

Answer #5:

That doesn't make sense. If nuclear fusion were to take place in its core. It would melt the surface. Nuclear fusion only starts when the temperature reaches millions of degrees. Thats when atoms start to fuse together. Nothing could withstand thoughs temperatures. The surface would not be able to stay in a solid state.

Also, how do you think light could reach the surface when its made of rock. With that being said, a sutable name would be something like (Hydrogen planet) or (Nuclear reaction planet). Due to the nuclear recations taking place in its core.
